Voter Registration Database Searches

A voter registration card contains very valuable information, such as your precinct number, state house district number, state senate district number, congressional districts, and county districts. You have a choice of three search methods to view a single Voter Registration Card:

YARD SIGNS:  What do I need to know before putting them in my yard?

HB 173:  YARD SIGNS & HOME OWNERS ASSOCIATIONS

Homeowner Associations cannot stop you from placing a sign or signs in your yard, according to HB 173, passed by the Texas State Legislature ( click here to read).  You can place a sign in your yard for each candidate on the ballot.

Signs within the City of Houston city limits:  Signs of any nature, including political signs, can not be placed in the area between a property owner's sidewalk and the street, as this is a City easement.  The City takes these signs and destroys them.  To get them back, it costs $50 per sign.  For properties without a sidewalk, the rules are iffy, and they suggest looking at the Harris County Appraisal District maps of each property for more information.  The HCDP encourages you to contact them directly with any further questions:  713-535-7900.
